Walgreens Drugstore to open Fall 2008

DUBLIN, Virginia – (October 12, 2007) – Mid-Atlantic Commercial Properties, LLC (“Mid-Atlantic”), an established retail developer of national credit tenant properties, is pleased to announce the development of a Walgreens drugstore at the southwest corner of Broad Street (Route 11) & Giles Avenue in Dublin, Virginia. This will be the tenth Walgreens location developed in the Commonwealth of Virginia by Mid-Atlantic.

On October 5, Walgreen Co. acquired approx. 1.5 acres from sellers Daniel C. Bell, William S. Pifer, Thomas A. and Lena R. Douthat, and Linda J. Hills. Mr. Clarke Jones, III of Jones Realty and Construction Corporation represented Walgreen Co.

This will be the first Walgreens drugstore to be built in Dublin. “In conjunction with this store, we are developing another Walgreens in the Town of Pulaski,“ said Trey Morgan, President of Mid-Atlantic. “Walgreens is going to make a significant impact in greater Pulaski County.”
